Adult Bjj and Judo
Every fight begins on your feet and ends up on the ground. Because of this, we believe you should train that way in order to be prepared, whether it is on the street or in competition.
Our system of martial arts, at The Sanctuary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness allows you to develop your game on your feet while simultaneously developing your game on the ground. You will learn break falls, grip fighthing takedowns (throws) as well as learning how to defend yourself on the ground and submit your opponents. Judo is taught by 2004, Olympian Charlee Minkin, while Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is taught by Rigan Machado Black Belt Ben Lowry. Whether your goal is to get a good workout, learn self-defense, or compete in Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Mixed Martial Arts, The Sanctuary BJJ is the place for you.
Kids Bjj and Judo
The kids martial arts program consists of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. We combine these two martial arts for the best results. 2004 Olympian, Charlee Minkin, teaches judo while Rigan Machado Black Belt, Ben Lowry teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Your kids will learn basic self-defense techniques as well as break falls, takedowns (throws), and submissions. Your kids will also learn how to follow instructions and will become more self-disciplined while learning the martial arts. Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will help your kids build confidence while improving their body mechanics as they develop in the martial arts.
Through the martial arts, your children will gain superior balance and coordination while getting a great workout. Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are perfect for burning all that excess energy your child has! Martial arts are a great compliment to team/group sports/activities because it allows your child to become more self-reliant.
Strength and Conditioning
Our Strength and Conditioning classes are just what your are looking for! These classes are a combination of body weight movements, The Olympic lifts, and high intensity conditioning. The classes provide full body, multi joint movements that are done at high intensity and are always changing.
This helps eliminate the possibility of getting bored during your workout. You will get the "cardio burn" that your are looking for while building lean muscle and constantly learning new skills. During your Strength and Conditioning sessions expect to use Competition Kettlebells, Olympic Barbells, Bands, TRX, stability equipment, bags used for cardio kickboxing and much more.
